Aberdeen-based engineering company Orca Oceanic Systems (ORCA) is investing significantly in a new Global Compliance Services division.

Founded in 2015, ORCA has built a strong reputation for providing tailored support and engineering services to subsea contractors. With a management team that has over 70 years of combined diving and subsea experience, ORCA has become the top consultancy for subsea operations worldwide.

After completing several compliance projects for current clients, ORCA has committed a six-figure investment to launch Orca Global Compliance (OGC), a dedicated division focused entirely on compliance services.

OGC will specialise in providing auditing and assurance of diving contractors and diving equipment. It will help energy and subsea companies meet international compliance regulations and industry standards. This new division will offer a range of services, including DESIGN audits, safety management system reviews and gap analysis, equipment assurance and verification, and regulatory guidance tailored to the specific challenges of subsea operations.

The investment will support the recruitment of several key staff members, some of whom have been announced and others to be announced in the coming weeks, to aid the division’s growth and ensure high service standards.

Mike Masson, Managing Director of Orca Oceanica Systems, commented: "The launch of Orca Global Compliance is a major milestone in our journey. We’ve observed the growing demand for compliance support in the subsea sector, and OGC is our response to that need. With our extensive industry knowledge and commitment to quality, we’re confident that OGC will set a new standard for compliance services in the energy and subsea industries."
