ORCA appoints Technical Director

ORCA, a bespoke engineering company who provides solutions to the commercial diving industry, announce the official appointment of Craig Livesey as Technical Director.

ORCA is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Livesey as Technical Director. Craig brings over two decades of experience in the commercial diving and subsea engineering sector, with a proven track record in technical leadership and project delivery.

Most recently, Craig served as Diving Technical Authority, where he played a key role in the design and build of a bespoke nine-man modular saturation dive system. His expertise spans regulatory compliance, engineering, and project management, ensuring complex systems meet the highest industry standards.
Craig has also provided global technical and regulatory support as a Technical Advisor, assisting major diving contractors and oil and gas operators with system assurance, compliance verification, and engineering solutions. Earlier in his career, Craig held senior technical roles with leading subsea companies, including Bibby Offshore, Boskalis, and Subsea 7, where he managed maintenance, certification, and obsolescence over the full spectrum of air and saturation diving systems and equipment.

Mike Masson, Managing Director of ORCA, said the following, “The appointment of Craig is a real milestone for the company; this technical knowledge will be a real asset to ORCA. We have recently secured a number of large engineering projects which Craig will oversee from our North of England office”.
